Message from the Dean of the Faculty

Welcome to the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery website at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences. Our faculty holds the distinction of being one of the longest-standing nursing education institutions in the country.

This college stands out from other nursing and midwifery institutions in the western region by providing a wide range of undergraduate programs (such as nursing, midwifery, and medical emergencies), master's programs (including specialized nursing, surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, community health nursing, psychiatric nursing, nursing management, and midwifery counselling), and doctoral programs in nursing. With dedicated students, experienced faculty, and exceptional staff, the college aims to enhance the quality of education and research, foster collaboration and unity, encourage public involvement, and streamline tasks to achieve even greater advancements in the future.

History

The Nursing and Midwifery School of Hamadan was established in 1982 as part of the Hamadan Health Education Complex, offering its first official course to nursing Associate Degree students. Following a merger with Ibn Sina University Nursing School and accepting 30 students, the school continued its operations. In 1986, with the establishment of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the Nursing and Midwifery School began operating officially under the supervision of the Ministry in the country.

MISION

The Hamadan University of Nursing and Midwifery is dedicated to providing high-quality education in nursing, midwifery, and emergency medicine through a team of experienced academic and specialized staff. The university is committed to creating value and promoting the advancement of students through social responsibility, expanding advanced study programs, conducting educational activities, and prioritizing research and human resource development.

This university upholds the human dignity of all individuals involved, including students, faculty members, staff, and others. It is committed to promoting moral and spiritual leadership to enhance the quality of educational activities and applied research.
